And the servicers are thinking that home values will start to stabilize but they seem to forget the
supply and demand concept. Even though mortgage rates are very low and first time home buyer tax incentives are available this may not be enough to entice buyers to get off the fence.
If we monetize the $8,000 tax credit to apply to the 3.5% down payment needed for FHA many buyers will still keep waiting for the better deal or home prices to drorp further.  This is a terrible cycle to be in and the servicers particularly those in 2nd position should take the offer and move on. Besides what did they and the MI companies think in the beginning to stand behind 1st place.</description>
